Detroit Handbell Ensemble - Artistic Director search

The Detroit Handbell Ensemble, an auditioned concert choir, is seeking
a new Artistic Director. The ensemble is currently comprised of 14
ringing members and rehearses Tuesday evenings in Livonia, MI.

I was curious, so I went to the website and reviewed the job
description. What I found most remarkable is that there was
absolutely no mention of a salary or stipend--either the presence or
lack thereof. I know that some community handbell ensembles do not
compensate their music director (and that would be an entirely
different discussion, possibly leading to arguments, that I don't
want to get into here and now). Either way, I would think it would
be helpful to an organization seeking a new director, as well as to
potential candidates for the position, to be clear, up front, about
compensation.
