Bad News for Wyclef Jean's Yele Haiti
According to an official of Yele, who did not want to reveal his name, the organization is on the brink of bankrupcy and not actually functional at the present time. The source told HB that Yele is out of cash and not operating. The organization's office on 5th Ave and 50th Street is currently closed, and basically all their operations in Haiti.
The organizations received a whopping 16 million dollars after the Jan 12th earthquake in Haiti and provided some reliefs during the early days of the disaster. The organization has been under scrutiny by various medias, concering curruptions with their finances, an accusations that Wycelf himself has strongly denied.
Stay on the beat for the latest on this developing story.
