San Diego - 'pinup in paradise

Hey guys! I just realized there was a SD 'pinup a few months ago and I
totally missed it! I'm fairly new to the area and it's exceptionally
difficult to find decent friends around here. (I'm from Boston and
going through a bit of a culture shock, I guess.) Anyone interested in
a summer 'pinup?

I haven't made it to the SD 'pinup(s) although I was part of the
conversation way back when. I too have been dealing with culture
shock (Hawaii/NYC, and San Diego is some of both and neither). I'd be
up for some quality 'pinner time this summer!

I replied but I think google ate my response, so sorry if this is a
double post. Although I live in Orange County now, I'm from SD and I
still spend some weekends down there with my family, so I'd be happy
to go to a pinup if I'm around! Also if you guys ever need ideas for
where to go/eat/drink I'd be happy to recommend my favorite spots.
Believe me when I say I MISS SD because compared to where I live now
(Mission Viejo) there was a LOT more going on for young people. Also
we've done a couple OC pinups and maybe we can do a joint OC/SD pinup
this summer. We're only an hour away!

Yayyy! Should we start throwing out location ideas? Timing wise, I'm thinking a Saturday night in late July, like the 21st or 28th- what do you guys think?

Late July would be lovely.  Of those two Saturdays, the 21st is better for me.

Location-wise, I like the Mission Hills-Hillcrest-University Heights-North Park-Normal Heights conglomerate.  And of course a hearty yes to OC/SD lady synergy.

The 21st works for me too. My work schedule is changing next week so I should be able to go to more pin-ups! As a City Heights resident, I am completely on board with the North Park/Normal Heights/etc suggestion of location. Does anyone have location preferences or suggestions? I love Redwing because they almost always have karaoke and the back patio. 

In an unrelated topic, are there any SD pinners who are going to the El-P/Killer Mike show next week at the Casbah? I wanna go but I don't have anyone to go with.

July 21st it is! North Park / Hillcrest / whatever area sounds good to me. Any place that has good beer and enough room for all of us to fit around a table or 2 without wanting to murder everyone is fine with me. And maybe not so loud we can't hear each other. All SoCal ladies are welcome of course!

July 21 works for me! Pinners who went to the first SD 'pinup will know that Blind Lady is closed on Mondays...but since the 21st is a Saturday, we could do that? It's got big tables. Otherwise, maybe the Station?
