Facebook Group sounds good if we can make it private or closed? Facebook
seems a bit easier than Google Groups, but I'd also rather my real name not
be tethered to my Hairpin ID(anymore than it already is...)
I tried to make a group, but facebook wouldn't let me make a group
with no friends in it.
So I pouted and now I'm going to make a smoothie to console myself.

In Seoul as well! Two thoughts: 1) Can we make a FB group if two of us friend each other? 2) If the FB group would be private anyway, would an email be a decent alternative? I'd probably miss things on FB, but mass emails can get annoying.

Okay made the group. Search 'Korea Hairpinners' if you're interested in
joining :) (I accidentally made a 'Seoul Hairpinners' group for .5 seconds.
Skip that one if you stumble on it!)

Hey y'all! I'd be interested in joining, but I don't have (or want) a facebook. :( Is there a way I could be added to a message list, even if I'm not a member of the FB group? Or maybe details could be posted to this group as well as the FB group? - Ulana

I'll try to cross post details from the fbook group as we figure stuff out.
I think right now we are trying to pick a spot for a meetup and debating
between daegu and daejeon (probably sometime in September). Any input?

Thanks! I live in Seoul and haven't been to either of those cities yet. I'm assuming they're easy to get to from Seoul - do you know about how much time it'd take to travel there? Would it be by bus or KTX? I'm open to exploring new parts of Korea!

Hey Ulana,
Yay! Another Seoul 'Pinner :) Another person(Emily) on the fbook group
expressed interest in meeting up at Craftworks on the weekend Nina wrote
about. Would you be interested in that too?
Daejeon is 1 hour away by train and 2 hours away by bus. Daegu is about 3
hours by train and 3.5 hours by bus. Since everyone is coming from
different areas, I figure we can all figure out our own transport details
and try to arrange arrival times close together. I'm coming from Seoul, so
if you want someone to travel with I'd be down to work something out. I'm
in Hongdae, so I'll be taking a train wherever
Yes, I am definitely down for meeting at Craftworks!
I'd be interested in trying to work out a travel buddy thing. I've actually never taken the KTX yet, even though I'm on my second year here! I live pretty close to you (Eungam at the end of line 6), so it shouldn't be too difficult.
Thanks for relaying the info to me. Not having a facebook is really a hassle sometimes.

Hey all! Update for anyone not in the Facebook Group:
Mini PInup in Seoul on Saturday evening. We'll be going to a pop-up
restaurant in Hannamdong that serves Alabama style barbeque. If you're
interested, send me an e-mail directly and I'll send you more info :)

Any Korea folks still around? I'm in Gyeongsangnam-do, and can easily travel to Busan/Daegu/(let's be real pretty much anywhere, although Seoul is a bit far for me).

the weekend of the 16th for a launch of a [b]racket magazine issue. come
