Hi Twin Cities 'Pinners!

I've been dreaming of putting together a ladies and friendly dudes
game night and I'd love to invite interested 'Pinners!

I'm mostly into nerd games, but anything from poker to Scrabble to
badminton interests me.

Any interest? Of particular interest to me is Magic, Dominion,
Settlers, Ticket to Ride, chess and go.

My gaming skills are far more pedestrian than yours, never played
anything you're interested in besides chess. But I'm open to trying
new stuff. It may in fact be in my blood - my uncle, who is the same
age as I am, plays a lot of go and was at least at one point working
on developing a go computer game. He's traveled all over for
tournaments n stuff.

I'm not anything near an expert in any of these things, I just love
the idea of cultivating a woman-friendly gaming space in TC. (Or,
alternately, finding one.)

I'm happy to teach any game as well! I've even acquired training decks
for Magic: The Gathering.

Absolutely interested. I've tried Magic, maybe not my thing, but I am
always down for a game of Settlers.

If I can get my friend interested, she would almost gladly bring
Arkham Horror (if you love Lovecraft, you GOTTA try this game).

I basically like any board game ever. Not a big fan of card games.
Always a fan of badminton.

Let's DO this.

I have only played Settlers once, and I frequently lose in online
chess to my boyfriend (because I usually get bored and just start
recklessly sending pieces everywhere), but I would love a game night
thing. I have a bunch of nerdy word games from Marbles that I'm always
trying to coerce people into playing with me.

To Kelly: I'm also a great lover of Marbles word games! I'd be
thrilled to play some.

To all: If y'all are interested, I'd be happy to plan a Ticket to Ride
get together? Meet at a bar or restaurant and play a round? Let me
know if you're interested.

I missed the last meet-up. Regardless of the game (the only ones I
recognize are Scrabbleand chess), I would love to attend.

I would like to attend as well, although I have never played Ticket to
Ride and might need my hand held.
