This guy is doing a UK-manufactured run of MakerSlide, the linear bearing
system. It comes to about £12/meter, which is pretty cheap, and its
compatible with the misumi extrusions as used on the mendelmax.
I pledged for 6 meters and a bag of accessories to rebuild my laser cutter
and build some other things!

Interesting, are we considering clubbing together to buy some HAC:Man
style?
Interesting. Not sure 1m lengths is long enough to be useful for the big
mill i want to build for the hackspace... what do you reckon? is 1mx1m big
enough?

I'd have thought it was being extruded in much more than 1m lengths
but he's cutting it down for efficient use and sane mailing cost. If
you want longer it would be worth talking directly to him.
