Arduino Projects Book: scans disponíveis

Pesssoal,

Semana passada eu escaneei o livro Arduino Projects Book que vem com o
Arduino Starter Kit "oficial" da Arduino LLC [1].

O livro é "Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0",
mas eu não encontrei PDFs ou fontes na Internet, por isso digitalizei
o original que comprei recentemente e doei para o Garoa.

Este fim de semana eu limpei e publiquei os scans [2].

Para cada página, há três imagens: o scan em 300dpi (3800x2900 px;
pode chegar a 15MB cada página), uma redução para 1006x767 px e outra
para 314x239 px.

No índice [2] aparecem as reduções menores, clicando vai para uma
redução média, clicando de novo vai para o scan em alta resolução
(pesado).

Os scritps que usei para processar as imagens e gerar os HTML estão no
Github [3].

Seria legal alguém fazer OCR para a gente depois fazer um mutirão de
revisão e tradução.

Sim, o livro é ótimo.

O próximo passo seria fazer o OCR para gerar o texto puro em inglês e
facilitar a tradução semi-automática com Google Translate.

Digo semi-automática porque vamos combinar que não dá para confiar em
todas as besteiras que o Translate produz, então um bom trabalho de
reescrita é inevitável para produzir um texto correto.

Usei o Google Translator Toolkit várias vezes, parece que os
resultados são um pouco melhores, deve usar outros dados. Também ajuda
a corrigir os resultados.

É, acho que um OCR e tradutor vai acelerar o negócio.
