Ok I'm interested in learning more but I find it interesting you're asking for mentors for Android and Web development but post all the details in a Powerpoint file. Perhaps something more Android/Web friendly like a web page or a pdf would be more appropriate?

Hey guys,

I am from the NUS Student Chapter of the ACM, a student interest group in NUS School of Computing. We are organizing an event called the "Developer Weekend 2012" where students are given a challenge we face in real-life and asked to develop a solution for it over the span of 1.5 days. It is a combination of a Hackathon and technical workshops. where students can develop web apps or apps for Windows 8 and Android. Please refer to the attachment for detailed information about the event.

We looking for speakers for workshops related to Android and Web app development and also seeking for people who can stay around during the event to interact with the teams and guide them as required (mentors). I believe that this would be a great chance for you to meet enthusiastic student developers from various schools around SG and share your knowledge with them!

If this idea interests you and you would like to come on board for this event, please drop me an email at khy...@nusacm.org with your details and stating how you would like to help out. I will be happy to provide you with more details regarding the same :)

Thank you!

Cheers,
Khyathi

I was able to open the PPT by pressing the spacebar in my email client (on a Mac), though I agree it would be nice if the details were summarized and posted online on a page titled "Call for volunteers and mentors" as it would be easier to spread on Facebook, etc. It would also lead more traffic to your web site.

How long have you been working on this workshop + hackathon already?
