All,

We've once again had a bit of a disconnect in the sponsoring/hosting an event process. I've drafted a page on this http://hackerspacesg.pbworks.com/w/page/44367892/Arranging-Events , comments are welcome.

whatshisname is open till 6pm (not 1pm) even on saturdays, but i think
we can take some liberty with smaller groups who are aware of the
constraint. the blender user group for example, has successfully met
there on sat morning.

otherwise, great guide. exactly what i recall from all the previous
discussions and meetings, except now all in one place.

one more thing:
events should not spill over outside without prior planning to clean up
and ensure that we are not causing inconvenience for the neighbours,
including the downstairs neighbour who can be inconvenienced even if
he's not there (for instance if we don't clean up afterwards). it is
extremely helpful to notify the neighbours in advance, especially as the
organisers may not be aware of the cultral sensitivities of the area.

Great summary Roland. Can someone also post instructions on how to get Meng's groovy projector displaying against the door? :-)
