Hello,

Notice to everyone that the next plenum is scheduled for 16th October
2012, Tooosday. It was kindly noted that I gave notice for the August
plenum without agenda so here is the carry forward agenda from last
month. Please add items if you have any. Thank you!

Agenda/Updates/Reporting

1. Find original 2010 Form C tax filing to confirm reported fiscal
year. (Luther)
2. Get board approval to hire Kolibri to manage all financial tracking/
reporting/compliance for $400/month. (Luther)
3. Disposition of Financial Statements
4. List of operational tasks that need volunteers to take on (Luther,
et al)
5. Establish Petty Cash Procedure for common expenses (Juanita pending
appoinment of Kolibri by board)
6. Continue review of Membership
7. How to handle mail service going forward. Clarify terms &
conditions.

I've just finished on an intensive project for work and now have some time to volunteer on some tasks. Please put me down for two tasks that arise during the Plenum, if completion within 2-3 weeks is acceptable.

Might be worth asking in this thread: Is anyone aware of the landlord
wanting to sell the building? I heard that is the case but not sure if
someone saw a sign or its speculation.

If anyone has actually seen a sign or something it would be prudent to
check the lease to ensure our contract does not terminate on transfer
of ownership.

Anyone seen evidence?

interesting. it would be a shame to give up that space as the location is wonderful.

FYI: JFDI is moving to level 5 of Blk71. I am opening a small café and paleo sous vide restaurant to serve the community there.

If that MVP validates demand, I would like to explore the possibility of relocating the café to the 1st floor in 6 months to a year, possibly in co-location with a possible HSG West, which could be a sort of Asimovian Second Foundation.

We'd have to displace an existing tenant, but it really does make the most sense for an F&B type operation to be on the first floor.

We'd have to get JTC approval, of course.

Hi Meng,

I was reading up on the OpenSourceCafe Tokyo (http://osscafe.net/en/ & http://osscafe.net/ja/). I have some ideas swimming about in my head about F&B automation with Arduinos, RFID & such... :D

In any case, good luck with JFDI 2.0.
