I'm working on a next generation social network idea and need to
partner up with a lead programmer to help make the vision a reality.
It will be a unique combination of a web app integrated with a social
network that has the potential to have all the functionality of a
fully fledged SN like facebook or google plus.
besides having robustness and scalability, it needs to have the user
friendliness and elegance of apples software.
If you think you have the coding chops and the idea of creating a
platform to help people excites you,
please do get in contact with a portfolio of work you have done.

indeed, here are a few questions for Derrick to heop clarify:
1. what is "next generation"?
2. "creating a platform to help people" - how, and in what ways do u want to help people?

just so you know, I not necessarily looking to have this application
be anywhere near the size
of facebook or google plus. . but i do believe there is a market for
my idea, even it is in the lower
hundreds of thousands or low millions.
I was using the facebook and google plus only as a reference in terms
of functionality,
although my idea would only require skeleton features at first as the
social networking
aspect is not the main feature.

I believe so, my idea is not just a social network, which i personally
find to be 90% a waste of time.
so i'm not competing directly with the big boys. the social network is
integrated and just enhances the main application
plus i don't need to be as big as them to be a viable platform.

Next Generation - by that i mean, a social network that actually does
something more than
what a social network does which in my mind - is mostly a time waster
so basically my concept actually is useful for the person.
which lead to the second question - how it helps people - that is part
of the
uniqueness of the idea - which I'll be happy to disclose with
potential partners.

It's free for you to download and try out, and since Drupal talent can be found in Singapore and elsewhere in this region, you may not need to hunt down a Woz to build your product from scratch.
