Hello

Does anyone know of an open-source "Instructables" clone with "wikiness" ? My requirements are:

1) Mobile browser friendly
2) Allows crowd-source translations
3) Allows mashups and editing of existing "instructables"

My specific use case for this is the set of open source Aquaponics construction, maintenance and user guides that I am working on. My hope is that by making a set of "bootstrap" instructions for the various types of aquaponics systems available (including construction in the absence of ready-made plastic containers e.g. ), the technology can be more quickly spread to those in need, in their native language.

E.g. if I recommend that you buy a particular type of submersible water pump, hopefully those with local knowledge in their areas can add pics and pricing of locally available equivalents that have worked for them.

In this way this becomes a highly structured wiki of sorts. I'm open to using a user-friendly / mobile-friendly wiki, but my experience with Wikis in the past have been that they are not structured enough, and lends themselves to devolving into hard-to-navigate documents where people just stick their contributions anywhere unless constantly curated.

Cheers
Stephan

Not sure about your point 3 though I recommend http://ikiwiki.info/ or
http://branchable.com/ since it does 1&2 well.

Kind regards from grim England!
