Jimmy, I think the problems you might have are:
* is the driver supported under linux?
* is there a module for the Pi? You might just need to compile it locally,
which may or may not be troublesome. Or check the precompiled binary github
I linked before.
* does it draw lots of USB current? >140 mA use a powered hub.
With hard float Quake 3 should hopefully be faster. So use Raspbian or I
think, arch linux. under raspbian, I was able to apt-get install quake3 and
ioquake3 but didn't get to copying the pk3 files to it to test.
Apparently you can play a full 1080p h.264 encoded video at 30fps without a
problem.
I wonder how dosbox would go? ;)
