Subject: Really bright LED spotlight

I seem to recall someone (possibly lemming) having a big LED spotlight in a
biggish enclosure with glass over the front and a mounting bracket on the
back, halogen-style. Anyone remember this? If so, anyone remember where it
was bought from? How much?

This kind of form factor:

I don't remember it being that expensive though.

We had someone visit CCHS (I think either he was from Brisbane or moving to
Brisbane) with that same setup.

From what I remember, he bought a halogen light, ripped out the halogen
holder and put the LED's in there himself, with an added battery pack in
spare space, and chucked a switch on the back.

It was totally homebrew, not bought off a shelf.

Hiya, yep I believe that was me.

It's a standard waterproof (IP65) 10W LED light - no mods at all - mounted
on a standard lighting "H" stand

The light retails for around 50-75AUD - I got mine a little cheaper in
exchange for some computer help - the H stands retail for around $15 but I
think you can get them of ebay for around $5

cheers

Craig R.
