How big are the sheets they were quoting for?

If they are 5.6m long that's great, if they are normal 1.8m sheets that's
pretty crap.

I suspect that since they are designed to be on the roof, then they will
last at least the measly 5 years we need them to.

Most roof related things are rated for 20+ years, so if they are crap and
are only rated for 10, they'll still be fine. :-)

Here is the current list of tools:

Shovels
Rakes
Whippersnipper - Costa
Lawn mower - Costa
Backpack weed sprayers - See below
Gurneys - We have the big one onsite, if you have one please bring it.
Air blowers
Socket sets - We have one in the space
Claw hammers
Pry bars
Angle grinder - We have them in the space
Welder - Sean's in the space. I will call Sean about the wire.

Weed sprayer: Can someone contact me about picking one of these up from bunnings with the corresponding weed killer and bringing it on the day? They're cheap, we'll always need one etc. I'll reimburse out of discretionary spend.

I will call sean about wire for the welder.

People with cars, can you put your hands up to pick up the tools in the space we need and bring them along?

Finally, I need someone to bring their bbq or to pick up buzz's bbq that we typically use (its at his house afaik? or does sam have it?) and be in a little early so we can cook up breakfast for everyone. A little early will mean about 8:30.

We will be starting at 9am. HSBNE will provide breakfast, so rock up on time!

provide you with the best price on Suntuf and Laserlite polycarbonate
roofing Australia wide. Call us today for a free quote 1800 021 213"
*
the quoted me:
14x 6m lengths of "suntuff" roofing at $10.80/m    ( or $64.80/length) -
total $907.20
600off clear-fix roofing screws ( his estimate on the number of screws
required )  @ $231.00
free delivery as we are in a metro area.

total cost:  $1138.20

do we have anything cheaper than that?

I just called Stratco ( 1300 185 185 ) , and got the following quote:

14x6m corrugated astrolite , normally $885.74 , but if we order before 3rd
Aug, can do it for  $887.10   ( that's $63.36/length)   - ask for "angel"
if wanting to get this price.
PTS ( Polycarbonate Tek Screws ) @35c each, assuming 600 reqd, would be
$210 for screws.
delivery normally $150, but with an order this size, they can lower it to
$95.

total: $1192.10

clearly they are a tad cheaper, but once you include delivery they cost
more!   :-)

We will run the roof repair as a separate cost to the 1k allocated for general costs.

I've been asked if we can buy this for the repairs: http://www.bunnings.com.au/products_product_ozito-355mm-metal-cut-off...

does anyone have any objections? it will come out of the 1k
