Subject: Playable on Stage - Bodysuit to Midi Controller

Hi guys

some of you *MIGHT* remember me for the crazy drumming project that I
needed for Australia's Got Talent last - then again, you might not   8-)
(It didn't get used in the end   8-((     )

Here's an email I sent to Lemming (and Steve Dalton whom some of you know)
today - I sure would appreciate any advice/feedback/offers-of-assistance
you can give.

BTW: If the group HAD got through to the next round - they might have done
something like this:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cb867srWg60 &
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZ-MmsUWhtU

Hey Lemming / Steve

One of the guys who was in Emma's percussion group (Australia's Got Talent
- MacCussion) last year, Tsoof  (he's 1st year at the Conservatorium now),
is interested in making an interactive suit from which you could trigger
sounds on a synth / midi controller.

I think it might be similar to these guys:
http://audiobody.com/video.html (check
out the "Electronic Jumpsuits") video.

Also found this site:
http://createdigitalmusic.com/2011/04/brazilian-rhythms-meet-wireless...

I know who AudioBody  get their triggers from - here's a link to the
triggers: (
http://www.pintechworld.com/shop2011/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=100)

In the performance it looks like they are wired back to a synth/midi
controller - which would be fine - a reliable wireless interface would be
even better  8-)))

What I'm wondering is - is there anyone around who would have the time AND
the interest to help build an interface back to a midi controller?

I admit it's tricky sometimes to get people involved when there is no
immediate payoff for them - was just hoping that there might be someone
around looking for a project that *WILL* get used.

I also suggested that perhaps he make friends with someone in electronic
engineering at Griffith - what do you think? Know anyone there that might
be able to help.

cheers guys - thanks for listening

I would love to help but Time is against me at present until I get a few
more projects out of the way.
I would suspect it would be after we move into the new space
(hopefully, fingers crossed, before the end of the month)
