I have need for a high quality tape. Something cloth based that conforms to curves well that has a really good adhesive. (ie high hold, no residue etc)
Has anyone bought or knows of anything along these lines? I've had book binding tape recommended so far.

I had to have my knee strapped up a while ago when i did ligaments, and
they used two types of tape..
The bottom layer was cloth based, and had a decent hold... it took the top
layer of skin off when removed ;) so no residue left behind,
The actual strapping tape was then applied to the base layer..

Strapping tape can leave residue depending on conditions. If it moves a
fair bit, it'll leave residue at the edges. The residue is easy to remove
off skin, but I don't know what you're using it on so can't comment there.
The underlay/base tape that's used under strapping tape is sold under the
name of Fixomull. It's also referred to as adhesive fabric tape I think.
Strapping tape is also referred to as rigid sports/strapping tape.
