Hi guys,

Back from holidays and part of my usual activities I went round to visit
each of our divisions, while I was at Aspitech I couldn't help notice
they had a couple of "unused" electric buggies, sadly the motors and
gearboxes have been removed, but thought people might be interested.

Also I noticed they have quite a few laptops piling up there too, they
tell me they are low-end and untested, but remember some people have
been asking me about them.

If you want them, give them a call and tell them you would like to have
a look and make an offer when you are there, tell them you are from
hackerspace and Robert sent you :-)

If you are representing a community group, club or arts, music,
organisation/artist - Tip: Aspitech will give freebies, if you can
prove it and offer some in-kind promotion that Aspitech in return ;-)

got any details on the buggies?

I'm assuming we are talking mobility scooters?

Perhaps it would be nice to have a couple of linux laptops for the
Adelaide city library 3d printing lab?

Yes they are, no details, other than they are red, they are new stock (though covered in dust) looks like they have been cannibalised for parts.

Sadly lots of this kind of thing comes in, but the cost of photographing, reading specification plates and pooping it on ebay is not very cost effective particularly as they have a shortage of space, so often they get dismantled for recycling.

I only mention things like this when if notice them, when I'm on one of my visits from time to time.

I really encourage people to visit there is something different each day,  ask Tamsyn she has been doing some casual work there recently.

I'll be there tomorrow.  I'll see if I can take photos during lunch and upload if you want?

Still here.  Even managed to pick you up a small LCD monitor for it - just needs a mouse and keyboard.

Would it be worth getting one or two laptops to setup as public
Arduino laptops for future workshops?

Let's not get too carried away - someone will have to keep them running!
