I don't think we'll be able to do a balloon Paul. Helium costs a lot of
money at the moment...

Yeah I did see that one, I wonder how much is left.. We'd need a good m^3 or so to blow up a 100g balloon (a small one).
I'm also not sure how long the balloon will last for, i.e. how fast the helium will leak out.

Hi Mark,

Have you enough Helium to miniature loads under a normal party balloon
that can be floated from string?

Thanks Mark,

I have some party helium around here somewhere... I'll but some white
balloons and out together a 'mini-horus'.. Just need something to
float above the booth :-)

What I also need is information on how can people get involved in
Project Horus is they want to? eg.
- Follow on Facebook, twitter
- Join Hackerspce
- Get their Amateur Radio Licence
- Come on a ballon hunt
- Sponsor a launch
- Build a payload

Cheers,
Paul

Does anyone know a good place to get A2/A1 posters printed out? I want
to print up a poster for Project Horus. Maybe we can get a Hackerspace
Adelaide logo printed up too?

Officeworks will print a pdf. I haven't personally used the service, but it worked well for the 'spectrum allocation' poster on the ACMA website.

The sub-contractors that have taken over the printing services @ Flinders do them.  I have a feeling they're not that cheap, but I can get you a quote on Monday...?

That'd be brilliant Tamsyn!
I'm looking for prices for A2/A3 full-colour posters, glossy print if
possible.

Thanks,
Mark

Do we need to print some flyers for Science Alive?

If someone could organise something that would be great..
- otherwise just print out a QR Code to put up in the booth.

Call me (0424 370 891) and I will come out to meet you. You can park
in the dropoff zone by the pavillion on Goodwood road *western side"
to drop off items, and then move the car to the northern carparks.

I will try to get there at 8am, but this will more likely be 8.30am.

If you have a hi-vis vest or t-shirt please bring and wear it on
Thursday (I have spares)

If you are bringing a car on the other days, please see me about a
parking permit for the exhibitors car park, otherwise you'll be asked
to pay for parking.

There will be more information tomorrow about what to do about getting
in on the day. I suspect that I may need to leave a list of names at
the entrance.. so please make sure that I have your name on the google
document if you are coming to help at any time during the event.

Regards,
Paul

Does this mean we drop off stuff today? Thursday 9th?

Yep Rob. But you can also bring smaller things along during the exhibition if you can't make it today. At least, that didn't seem to be a problem last year.

Science Alive starts Friday! and ends Sunday for some reason I thought
it was just the week end :-P

Can't help on Saturday and Sunday but could do some time tomorrow

Give me a call when you're near.(Ph 0424 370 891)

Thanks to Dale, John, Jonathan, Mark and Peter for bringing stuff in and helping setup. See attached photo.
