Contests for Designers and Hackers

For the 3D designers amongst us:

No entries yet, and it closes in 12 days. Worth a go if you've got
something up your sleeve? The Replicator 2 sure is pirdy.
Maybe a 'how to' might be needed, considering the lack of entries.
They seem to be after 'open source' oriented stuff - "...using open
source design and 3D printing, bring manufacturing to the desktop." so
if you're using open source software so much the better.

There's also a 'Hack It' contest:

Already 181 entries, and it finishes later (14 November) so some stiff
competition to be had but, on perusing current entries, not that
stiff. I'm thinking of entering this one myself.
