Greetings all,
More information from Brian. At this stage I'm only offered the space
to Hackerspace.

If there is enough interest (and so far there appears to be), I will
advise Brian tonight that we will be happy to occupy the space.

The people who are available to man the booth:
Dale
Tim Aslat (Saturday, drop-offs/pickups?)
Heidi Angrove(Friday-14th)
Tim Wintulich(Saturday-maybe)
Stephen Pickes(?)

Display items:
- Hard drive orchestra (Tim Aslat)
- K9 with display
- 3d printer (PS)
- Asterisk Rotary Phone? (Heidi Angrove)
- Raspberry Pi / Radio gear (Dale)

I can assist setting up and packing down, and with coordination,
display layout and transport.

Regards,
Paul

Hi Paul

Further to our conversation this morning, I wanted to offer the
Elizabeth Amateur Radio Club/Hackerspace the opportunity to have a
'free' 6m x 4m space in the new Technology Centre at the Royal Show.
The space will not be a booth like Science Alive! but it will be an
open space with a velcro-friendly back wall and trestle tables &
chairs. It is the 6m x 4m area marked in green on the attached floor
plan.

UniSA are occupying this space for the first three days of the Show -
7/8/9 September. So my offer is for your group to have the space for
the remaining six days - Monday 10th until Saturday 15th September
inclusive. A donation of $500 would be made to EARC or Hackerspace if
you are able to fill this space. You would need to have someone at
the stand from 9am until 5pm each day with an emphasis being on
interactivity with visitors (although some amateur radio
infrastructure would help 'decorate' the space). A free pass to the
Show would of course be given to volunteers for the days they are
involved.

The Technology Centre has a 'Yellow Brick Road' station so this
apparently guarantees at least 20,000 families will visit the Centre
over the 10 days, together with all those that just wander in. So it
will probably be as busy as Science Alive!

Let me know ASAP if you can help

Cheers

Brian

I can do any day besides Wednesday, Thursday or Monday.  I don't have much cool stuff myself, but can lift and carry for setup / breakdown.
