7" of LCD goodness running of 12V, 2*AV, VGA and DVI input, Touchscreen via USB.
The 'just work' (incl. touchscreen) on Ubuntu 12.10.
$1 each ONO.
The catch(es)?
- Not all have a complete wiring loom. The unit has a DVI socket with some of the pins reused to provide AV*2, USB and VGA.
- Not all have working touchscreen
- If you get the touchscreen working on a RasPi you have to let me know how you did it.
- Not all have a mounting bracket.

They're probably mil-spec, explains the 500lb. Shielded with depleted uranium I guess...

I'll grab as many as I can and bring them to hackerspace.Apologies to any latecomer who miss out, I probably should have limited how many each.
:)
Dunno why you asked, Thomas.
Should have just grabbed the lot, assembled compete units and offered them at hackerspace at a premium ($10?), and the rest at $1 or $2.
Presumably they have a pretty high failure rate?
I'm getting jacked off at the failure rate I'm seeing on electronics, not just cheap stuff.
--
I won't need all 10, just worried about the failure rate. Happy to take just two, though if I could get 1 with working touchscreen...?
Rest can go to HS or someone else here.
I'd like to grab five too if there are any left.
I'm in the Riverland, with not much chance of getting to Adelaide in the near future. Can I persuade you to post them to me at going rate?
Cheers
Samps

Innovyz has a trolley we can use. Apparently there is a loading zone somewhere nearby on Grenfell St amongst the bus zones.

Sorry Thomas, running a little slow. Let us know where you're based.
There's some "possibly" good ones left over, they will be at the space storage for a week, theres also a WHOLE bunch of standard dvi extension cables available.

There really are a ridiculous number of DVI extension cables. Whatever ones don't get taken I'm sure Kylie can knit in to something :)

There are no power cables or looms left.
The power-socket is fairly standard and there are plenty of DVI cables which can be modified to make looms (BYO USB-A, VGA and AV plugs as needed).

Clint, did you end up getting the monitors, or should i grab 4 if possible to head to the riverland sunday?
Anyway I've just put 5 aside and if i don't hear otherwise will be heading back to berri with mum and dad until i go there next to post / hand them over, another possibility is i convince mum and dad.to drop by your house sometime tomorrow on the way back from Adelaide.
