This Friday (23 May 2011) is Hackergarten in Basel. The topic, as
always, is open. The topic is almost always Groovy, Griffon, or
Gradle... if anyone wants to branch out to IDE support for Java/Groovy
then I would certainly join that group. I have been meaning to try and
make a new Java Inspection and QuickFix for IntelliJ IDEA (the open
source one), and this seems feasible within one night. Also there is
JetGroovy (the Groovy plugin), as well as some Eclipse know-how in the
group. The Eclipse STS lead (Andrew E) attended last week's
Hackergarten in Denmark and there was a group working on DSLD support.
If you want to work on Eclipse-Groovy or DSLD stuff, then I bet we can
get Andrew to provide some guidance. For more on DSLD see this link:
http://en.appsatori.eu/2011/05/writing-groovy-dsl-descriptors-dsld-for.html
So here are the specific ideas right now. Do you have any to add?
* IntelliJ IDEA Java (or Groovy) Inspections - Tools: IDEA, git, Java,
AST transformations
* Eclipse DSLD Support - Tools: Eclipse, Groovy
* Groovy/Griffon/Gradle - same as usual
There is also a BBQ. Please RSVP to me (or the list) so I know how
many to buy. I am bringing my grill into the courtyard and Canoo is
providing hamburgers, buns, and fixins. If you want to bring a side
salad then please do so (potato salad and coleslaw are traditional).
And please be prepared: this is a BBQ, not a barbecue, and certainly
not a Bar-B-Q. If you do now know the difference between these three
things then please come to Hackergarten and I'll explain it to you.
