[habari-users] In French?

Hi!

I tried the Habari demo and what a good surprise! Love the admin-user
experience.

But do you guys plan to integrate the French language code?
That would be great. Or else, we will not be able to use it...

Habari's translations are done on Launchpad ( https://translations.launchpad.net/habari
). The French translation appears to be complete as of 2010-02-01, so
it should be up to date except for new strings that haven't been
incorporated into the translation file, yet. That would be the best
place to get it.I believe you'll need to create an account on
Launchpad in order to download the file.

I did some work on Launchpad for the french version.

In general it is in a usable state, but it still need a carefull
revision for consistency (not the same terms are always used for the
same english word, like "post" could be translated in "article" or
"billet") and sometimes it's difficult to translate sentences to
french and keep it as short as it was in english.

Another problem I met in 0.6.3 was about permission tokens... some of
them where translated and made a previous install unusable because the
tokens where first created in english in the database. I don't know
if this problem is still present. It didn't happen when starting from
scratch with a french installation.

Anyway, I highly recommend you to try it and give us feedback. And
don't hesitate to join Lauchpad too :-)
