I've released and already updated, thanks to feedback from Andy C.,
the MetaTitle plugin. Most themes have a static html title tag. It
remains the same no matter what page of your site you are on.
MetaTitle is designed to generate a title unique to each page based on
the page content and entry title. If you would like an html title that
differs from the entry's title, it places controls on your publish
page to enter one. If you want to save a few bytes of space in your
theme, MetaTitle will generate an html title tag even if the theme
doesn't contain the tag.
