I removed the offending tickets and installed the plugin. There seem to
be a lot of config options, though. Any thoughts as to what methods
within the plugin we should employ?

The existing config doesn't look too bad (the defaults?). As long as
the log entries are checked regularly (it currently purges after 7
days) we can tune it as we go. I'll try to remember to check them (but
that shouldn't stop anyone else doing the same).
