mockups or design doc for SimpleFileSilo?

Are there mockups or a design doc for the SimpleFileSilo? I submitted
a patch this morning for issue #185 in the tracker. This patch
implements the "create directory" control, letting you create a
directory in the root of "Local Files". I'd like to further develop
this control to create directories in any parent directory, but I
didn't know the best way of presenting this choice to the user. Have
one of the UI designers already come up with a solution for this?

Another question about the SimpleFileSilo controls: what is the
purpose of the "Current Directory" control? Is that so I can return to
the media browser panel after uploading a file? It seems a bit odd to
me that we present two ways that the user can get back to the media
browser ("root" and "current directory"). Might it be better to just
have a link that says "browse files" which by default returns you to
the last directory you were browsing?
