Writing from/in the Frontend in Habari possible?

Hi Folks,

my question is would it be possible to write from the Frontend in
Habari, like P2-Theme for WordPress?

I like the way, to write in the Frontend very much, because it helps
me to stay focus of the Text and nothing more. No interruptions, or
something like that, only writing my post and finally post it. Thats
it, and i like it.

But would that be possible in or with habari? And when it would be
possible, how can i do this?

I have no clue for PHP, just a bit of understanding for HTML and thats
all.

As far as I know, no you can't. PHP knowledge has nothing to do with creating posts, unless you make a theme to do this or your own blog platform. You can only write posts from the blog admin page, unless you memorize the setup of the tables in MySQL or whatever database software you use.

Sure you can do this, but you have to have a thorough understanding of PHP and Habari. I build custom apps on top of Habari at my day job, and I have had to do this sort of thing extensively. So short answer, yes it is possible, and fairly straightforward, if you know PHP and Habari.

Didn't Owen write a plugin to do this? I think he even recorded a screencast of it.

Not sure, but I was thinking of creating a P2 like theme & plugin combo after reading this. I have all the code lying around in various projects.

That would be AWESOME, if you can made this real.

A P2 like Theme for Habari, that's it what i mean. But i a no idea of
PHP or something, to do it on my own.
