The ride has been fun, but the weight of the community decision-making
and generalized bickering at the high levels is too much for me. I've
written a bunch more on my blog about what's going on, but suffice to
say, I'm not going to be participating in Habari any more.
You're all welcome to come try my new project as it rolls out, and I
hope to see at least a few of you elsewhere on the net or in real
life.
See ya,
Owen
For those interested, the project he's talking about is ForkPress
(http://forkpress.com/), and he's been at it for a while now.
I'm torn between moving to kick him from this project - not that THAT'll
be needed still - and just dropping all this meritocracy, open-source
nonsense.
Sad,

I suggest a fork, run by a single benevolent master, controlling all
movement on the project in accordance with his (or her) dominant
vision. You could call it "Shibari". ;)
Shibari - the new dimension of Personal Networking. I like that. Let's
incorporate.

Sorry if that rained on anyone's parade who wanted to keep the joke
rolling... I swear I didn't think about it before clicking send.
Not at all! The joke was only ever intended to be in effect for the 1st.
I can't speak for Owen, but I'm here for the long haul.
Totally. ;)
k3 does need to be a default theme in Habari, though.
Owen
Thanks to Chris for helping perpetuate our little prank.
