Skywarn Recognition Day THIS WEEKEND

Besides being Skywarn Recognition Day, we've decided to have an impromptu meeting of the Skywarn Coordinators at GYX at 11 am this coming Saturday, Dec 1st. Please let me know if you think you CAN make it!
Otherwise, we'll be staffing the radios at GYX Friday evening, starting around 7 pm and hopefully lasting right through to 7 pm on Saturday. If you can't make it to GYX, then we hope to make your acquaintance on the radio as a contact for SRD.

Skywarn Activation for Sandy

This is a first call for personnel to staff the radios at GYX for the remnants of Hurricane Sandy. The core hours of operation that we're looking for staffing are between 4 pm Monday through 2 am Tuesday. I'll probably be there. Please let me know if you are available to join in!

no problem dave

what i mean by lurker. it that most just read the messages and do not
ask any questions.
a lot of the skywarn group also just listen to the training nets.

the forum here is the place to post news and ask questions about
anything related to the skywarn
system.

the whole idea is to encourage the members of the group to get involved

I am glad it is working. we lost a lost when the 146.805 link machine
went to down never to return.
