A coworker had heard a rumor that GWT Query had originally been intended to be included into GWT itself.

Has anyone else heard this or was this a rumor long ago?

I'm curious if it had been an original direction and if there was a reason why it hadn't ever happened.

QuerySelectorAll() for example is supported by all major browsers now (http://caniuse.com/queryselector), but isn't in GWT yet. GQuery would be a perfect way to integrate/transtion that into GWT itself.

IMHO, I think that Gquery will not be included into GWT. It's now a
real third party library that developers can used if they need...

But I think the best person to respond to this question is Ray.
