I ran the same command a got a different set of warnings ... mine are
due to my environment (my settings.xml has a mirror defined that no
longer exists), but the project was still created and it compiles and
runs just fine (in hosted mode). Try running the following command in
the directory with the pom.xml file.

GWT 1.7.1 is available, but unfortunately only for Windows - JARs are
missing for Linux and Mac.

I'm trying to get my first GWT app to work but there does not seem to be
any documentation anywhere that when followed, leads to being able to
use GWT with maven.
if anyone can provide some assistance on providing a basic pom.xml that

Auto update resources like CSS in hosted mode

I'm use maven from Netbeans IDE. When I run app in hosted mode, all
changes in source are immediately displayed in browser (after
refresh). Bad when I change CSS (directly from IDE), it was also moved
to war folder, but not changed after refresh. Why?

I know, that I can run Jetty manually with scanIntervalSeconds

That wasn't exactly the problem. The test class was compiled to the
(standard) test-compile directory; reading the documentation helps.
This makes the NoClassDefFoundError more mysterious.

I'm trying out Maven for the first time on a multi-module GWT project,
and I've reached a roadblock. When I try 'install' on the parent
project, the test phase fails with a java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError
caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundExcepti on. I checked my WEB-INF/
classes directory, and it turned out that none of the test classes

Are you using GWT inheritance and modules? If so, and if your CSS is
injected (defined in the MODULE, rather than in host page),
then it might be coming from a compiled module? Just a guess, but
something to be aware of (the difference between an injected
resource with a module, and a host page based link).
