I am having trouble using the Offline package in gears with my GWT
application. I debugged it a bit and it appears that a few of my
pages&resources weren't being added to the automatically generated
manifest file. I did a search on the web and found this message:

http://groups.google.com/group/gwt-google-apis/browse_thread/thread/da79498feec67f9e/d4839e898d6f6b94?lnk=gst&q=offline#d4839e898d6f6b94

So it appears that since the change in project layout, the Offline
module is no longer correctly adding everything to the manifest.
That message was dated back in July....did this ever get sorted out?
Does anyone have any suggestions? I have my main html file and a
couple resources (CSS, image folder etc) at the main level of my war
directly, and the module base is one level below that. Everything in
the module does get added to the manifest correctly.

Should I just go back and figure out how to create the manifest by
hand for now?

thanks in advance!

Using gwt-gears with the new war file format hasn't been sorted out yet.  You can update the manifest by hand, or go back to the GWTCompiler and old style project layout.

Thanks for the info.

It wasn't obvious to me how to add it by hand, so I wrote up a little blog post when I figured it out.   Hopfully it'll save someone an hour or two of messing around!
