Subject: Multivariate Add variation to section returning HTML page
Hi,

For some reason when I try to add a new variation to a section, I am
getting an HTML page response back instead of XML.

I posted:

<entry xmlns:gd="http://schemas.google.com/g/2005" xmlns:app="http://
www.w3.org/2007/app" xmlns:gwo=
"http://schemas.google.com/analytics/websiteoptimizer/2009"
xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2005/Atom">
  <title>Original</title>
  <content>orginal &lt;a href="http://www.crownpeak.com"
onclick="doGoal(this);return false;"&gt;Goal&lt;/a&gt;</content>
</entry>

To

I am getting back a web page response with a title of "Google
Analytics  | Official Website".  It happens almost every time.

Does it successfully create the variation when you get this response?
Can you send the complete response that you get back?

Thanks,
-Gary

Hi,

Well I just figured out that I am passing an invalid section id from a
previous experiment.

Don't you think I should get a different response in that case?  A 404
or some error XML?

Thanks,
Mark.

Absolutely.  I'm reviewing our error conditions and making sure that we
return something reasonable for situations like this.

Thanks for the feedback,
-Gary
