Lakers took the first weekend in October by storm. Nearly every
division of Laker oarsmen/women brought home medal recognition.
Overall, the Varsity squad won two 3rd place medals, four 2nd place
medals and two 1st place medals. The Novice team showed their
dedication by pulling out an impressive six medal show. The Novice
squad combined had three 3rd place medals, one 2nd place medal and two
1st place medals. The novice mens eights held 1st and 2nd in their
heat. The Lakers won the overall team points, having an impressive
489.00 points, followed by Lincoln Park Boat Club at 384.00. The team
is holding their annual Alumni Row this weekend, Oct.21st, followed by
Head of the Grand in Lansing , MI on October 22nd. A special thanks
goes out to the parents and supporters who trekked to Illinois to feed
and encourage the team, your role in Grand Valley success is greatly
appreciated!
