Does anybody have a source for a more comfortable seat? I find myself quite sore after some 6 hours spirited riding.
Thanks,

Dorien

Eat more pasta, more of your own padding! LOL!
A good friend who has done all the Cannonballs on his ’14 Harley uses a steel tractor seat. No padding. The seats are contoured just right to hold your butt. Figure hard working farmers are sitting in them all day long. It’s not pretty but he has no seat/butt issues anymore.
The other trick other than some of the new air bead cushions is to wear cycle/biking shorts. Hallman made them just like bicycle shorts. Lycra with a chamois crotch. I’ve been wearing some form of padded lycra shorts off-road for 40 years. I wear them when touring too.

There is also the Airhawk inflatable seat. It is multicellular. Said to be used by helicopter pilots. The trick is to deflate them a lot, like an airbed so they are supportive but not wobbly. Many sizes but I found a pillion pad just fitted my 750 SS. Expensive but they work.   One odd observation. I could set off on the Airhawk and do a few hours before pain set in. Then I pulled out the Airhawk, stowed in inside my jacket and could do some more miles in relative comfort before reaching the pain threshold again. One day I tried it in the opposite order and it worked just as well! It must be about changing the pressure points and posture. Now I have an old single seat BMW with Denfelt hard rubber seat pretty much like a  tractor. Surprisingly comfortable (for a while. Few bikes are comfortable all day!).
I wonder if packaging type bubble wrap could work like an Airhawk? I’m going to gaffer tape some on for my next ride - to the Concours  d’Elegance.

I’ve used sheep skin for years. Very comfy. Bicycle shorts are also a big help.

Airhawke cushion on the stock Falcone seat works great on long rides.
