  Thanks for your reply Eytan. I expected that GUESS would have access &lt;br&gt; to any new library I added to python on my system. From what I gather, &lt;br&gt; GUESS has its own separate libraries that it uses? Is there a place &lt;br&gt; that I should put the Excel xlrd library? Or do I actually need to &lt;br&gt; port it over? &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;-david

  GUESS uses a somewhat old version of python (actually jython) which &lt;br&gt; does not necessarily have all the newest Python libraries. Some, you &lt;br&gt; may be able to port in... &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;-E

  Hi folks, &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;I am having what I&#39;m guessing is a path problem. If I type python at &lt;br&gt; the command line and then &amp;quot;import xlrd&amp;quot; I can import this library to &lt;br&gt; work with Excel spreadsheet files. If I do the same from the GUESS &lt;br&gt; console, it cannot find the library. Do I need to set an environment &lt;br&gt; variable?
