I am new to Guess, and tried to install guess.
I downloaded, 1.03 beta version, and installed Java and JavaMedia
thing.
I did set the Guess_home with correct path, but when I start guess,
the
window is black or blinks depending on where I put my mouse.
I am using Vista. Can anyone recommend what went wrong in installation
or if I am missing something?
I can send a picture of the screen which is jet black and some
buttons
appear and disappear on a random basis.
I don't know what went wrong with you, but I think it is better if you start
with this more recent version that you can download directly from:

This version works fine. I did try to find some solution for the problem I
faced with the old version. I think the problem was caused by clash Windows
and Java. The error log says:
RE version: 6.0_16-b01
# Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (14.2-b01 mixed mode windows-x86 )
# Problematic frame:
# C [msvcrt.dll+0xa3ed]
#
However, I could not find any solution for it so far. I did submit a bug
report in Java. If anyone needs more information, I would be happy to
provide.
But, this new version works great!!!!
Thanks a lot!
Thanks,
Shivashis
