I would agree with you that you can have multiple TripUpdates with the same
trip_id if they refer to frequency-based trips with different start times
or schedule trips with different start dates. But trip_id != trip

I don't think you need to change the schedule_relationship field of the
TripUpdate's TripDescriptor, since the original trip is still running
(though in a slightly modified way).

Hi,
I would like use the gtfs-realtime feed "Trip Updates" to update a trip
if it is deviated.
Assume a trip with the stops A,B,C,D in the schedule.
After an accident, the trip is modified.
Its stops are A,B,E,D.
I thought used a trip with the schedulerelationship = "replacement".
For the stops no modified, schedulerelationship = "scheduled".

GTFS-RT feeds are hosted by individual transit agencies. So, you'll need
to find an agency that has both open GTFS and GTFS-RT data.

I want to make a extension of an already exiting project, called
opentripplanner, on browser.
And now I have deployed it using GTFS data, how to change it into GTFS-RT?
I have no idea, where GTFS-RT data come from and how to use it?

I'm trying to parse a list of GTFS-Realtime feeds in a Java program. It
generally takes about 200ms to parse a single feed file on my laptop, which
is relatively long. I have tried the following two approaches,
1. Open a FileInputStream and then use FeedMessage.parseFrom() to parse it
directly.

No, OBA admins/developers for Puget Sound will need to recompile the application based on the newest source code and redeploy it.

I know UW is in the process of transferring some of the infrastructure for OBA to Sound Transit. Some code changes need to be made in the very near future (e.g., Google Maps API v2 deprecation on May 20th), so I would imagine that if they are doing other code changes this patch would be included. But, you'd need to ask them directly to get an answer.
