review draft: December 30, 2009

We've accumulated several minor issues since the last spec update this
past March, so Naomi Bilodeau and I drafted an update to roll them all
up before the end of the decade. I've attached the draft spec update
for your consideration--please take a look and reply with any comments
before the end of January 8, 2010 UTC.

Summary of Changes:

* Renamed the document to be the "General Transit Feed Specification".

* Corrected an error in the definition of the direction_id field in
trips.txt; the example previously assigned two different different
trip_headsign and direction_id values to the same trip_id. This was

* Clarified the interpretation of arrival_time and departure_time in
stops.txt so that the interpretation is more likely to be correct on
days on which the daylight savings time offset changes. Relevant

This applies to times in frequencies.txt too.

that includes the time clarification for the frequencies.txt fields.
