Hello,
One of my friends bought an iphone from a website: [link]
He has got the phone, its quality is very good. And the website is
promoting their products these days, so they have very good price and
big discount now. This website also sells tv,motor, laptop and so on.

A couple of thoughts here, if you are interested in thinking outside the box
...
Firstly, what time management system will work for you depends more on your
personality than on the system. IOW, GtD is not the "best" system ... nor
is Covey's ... nor anyone else's. A system has to work the way you do. So

No, I wouldn't. I believe in GTD, next actions are supposed to be
extremely small, like "find your W-2 form in the folder".

I started off doing an "almost complete mental sweep".

(Let's face it "complete mental sweep" is just a metaphor. If you are
mathematics professional, for argument's sake, just the declarative
knowledge you have related to your work can fill bookshelves. But I'm
digressing...)

I think the problem I had when I tried following GTD fairly closely

I think the David Allen question would be not so much how you can
tweak the system, but what's going on inside you that's causing the
fail?

1. Do you have everything captured? Have you done a mental sweep
recently?
2. Are you questioning whether this is the *most important* thing you
need to be doing right now? Have you done a review recently?

I haven't had time to do a lot of reading about it (productivity
system fail I guess) but their system seems to be based around your
personality rather than a system. It seems like a good idea.

GTD isn't working out for me as well as I'd hoped. I'm procrastinating
about projects that are important to me, and the stress is still
there.

My new idea is to organize projects into approximately 1-2 day chunks,
prioritize them, and focus on one thing, e.g. "file tax returns",
"read that manual" until it's done. I used to religiously do my GTD capture, weekly review, etc and I've
got out of the habit of it. I'm presently working from lists on paper
and wondered if anyone had any electronic forms or gadgets they use on
the computer to ensure they have their projects listed with next
actions, the to do list - I'm presently running one system for full

Try reading more about it slowly on sites that do encourage it.
Usually, the book provides a lot of insight for me only when I really
looked at the all the usefulness of it. Perhaps, you have some open
loops that you don't include and that leads you to think that the
weekly review is not working out for you?

But more fundamentally, if you
haven't got the whole mind-shift toward GTD as incremental but steady
progress across all your projects then I not sure it'll fly for you.
If you've only a few projects you must get done in a speciic manner
then straight-forward project planning and Gantt-charting is probably

My life got too complicated for paper-based GTD implementations.
However, there are plenty of examples of the 3x5 card approach
(Hipster PDA [link])
as well as using Moleskines. Hi Daryn,
I believe you have found the right place. Hi all,

I am new to GTD and this group. I have a few basic GTD questions.
Before asking them here, I just wanted to know if this is the
appropriate place for these sorts of questions.

I have had a look around and, although the topics are interesting, it
seems as if people are mostly discussing software. I would like to

Hi, my meeting usually not coming with too many notes. So someone will
convert that as a minute and I will "process" my own notes into work
action list (GTD in excel), or update my own knowledge base
(Evernote), then make a big cross on my meeting paper notes, mark as
been process :).
You could considering to have a table PC or UMPC device as well

Hey, not sure if this violates any GTD priciples but I really like
all
my "stufff" digital. I use a PDA for almost everything when away from
my desk, but sometimes it is just easier or necessary to just write
thngs down. I have never been able to really take meeting notes on a
laptop, and certainly not in my PDA, so I still have some paper

 Hi fellow GTDers!
I'd like to invite you to a web app I have been developing with my
friends as beta users.
If you are interested, please sign up and try it out at the following
url.

[link]

It's not actually a dedicated GTD software, but a life database system
(kind of like Evernote) which has broader way of usage.
