Hey all,

Prepare to add mountain climbing to your repertoire of sports!  We’ve got 2 “organized” rides (by ourselves) going on this weekend.

1)       Saturday: 3 Gap, a beautiful 50 mile route near Dahlonega, GA.  You’ll get to see some great, but hard-earned views, from the top of the North GA mountains.  This will be a hard training ride for cyclists who are either experienced, or enjoy post-ride pain.  Don’t let this scare you away from an awesome ride though, just be prepared.

2)       Sunday: Wheels O’ Fire route (I kept the route slip from an organized ride that happened here in March) near Pine Mountain, GA.  This will be a ride aimed towards new cyclists, and will be a great introduction to hills/mountains for people who have only done routes like the Silver Comet in the past.  This ride also has some great views, especially from the top of Pine Mountain (the Mt, not the town).  Route will be 40-99 miles depending on what people want.

Both rides require about 90 minutes of driving.  Tentative plan is to leave from the CRC at 6:00am on both days, but this is flexible.  Please let me know which rides you want to do so that we can arrange car rides.  I can only take 2 more bikes and 4 more people.

Hope to see you out there!
