Did anybody have tried to package gstreamer-java for debian and get it
into the official repositories?
I'm writing an open source application that uses gstreamer-java and
eventually will want to make it available at debian/ubuntu, so I would
need gstreamer-java to be packaged as a library.
Is there any restriction that make us not debian-compliant?

I have contacted the guys at debian-java and the packaging process
seems straightforward.
I will package it and look for a debain sponsor (a Debian Developer
that can review my packaging and upload to repository). For this, I
need some information I didn't find in the source tarball:
1) Name of the upstream author(s)
2) The license is GPL or LGPL? Both are in the source tarball as
COPYING and COPYING.LESSER
3) Do we require any specific version for jna? For gstreamer, it shall
be >= 0.10.19, right?

I have made an initial package, submitted to mentors.debian.net and
filled an ITP (Intent To Package) bug for the new package (#576984).
Now I'll try to find a debian developer to mentor/sponsor it.
