My GSW has stopped working too. I have made no changes and use XP Pro.
Could there have been a Windows update that did something?
I do not think it is a firewall issue because there is not even an
attempt made to connect.
In any case, I have made nbo firewall changes and have GSW approved.
Please help!

It does take long however, there are many thousands of urls.
I don't know what options you used. I don't crawl images and other
types of documents, except web pages.
I also don't import known urls from Google.

I guess I will have to uninstall and then reinstall to try again...
Jim
1. Open GSiteCrawler
2. Click the show button
3. Under Crawler Watch select "Clear Total Queue"
When I did this it started working.
Hope this helps!!!

Jim
And those urls did respond with 404 yesterday, when they were being
crawled.
You can re-download the latest verison and reinstall it.
