Thanks Webado!! My desktop with XP crashed and I'd never even tried it
on my laptop with Vista before. Couldn't figure out why it wouldn't
crawl. Followed your instructions and it works fine.

Thanks again,

Hello.
I had this program on my vista computer and it has always work fine.
Unfortunately I formated it and then reinstalled GSC and the crawlers
never worked again. After a hard search I found this message and
applied it, and now its crawling again fine. Thank you so much !

I might be wrong, but I reckon all this would be unnecessary if GSC
stored its sitemaps in "Documents" instead of "Program files". Writing
to program files requires elevated privileges and storing data is
better done where it can be backed up without having to think about it.

Hello friends,..unfortunately it didn't work in my machine...
I use a notebook Dell Vostro 1510 with Windows Vista Home Basic 32
bits, Service pack 2, Intel Core Duo CPU 1.80GHz, RAM 3GB, and i've
made the procedures run the GSiteCrawler as administrator as shown at:

hl=en"

But it didin't work as the following message has appeared:

"Component'MSCOMCT2.OCX' or one of its dependecies not correctly
registered: a file is missing or invalid"...

I went once again and get back to its original form..The program opens
but doen't "read" the URLs ... What is wrong people...please help me
out!!

Mauricio from Brazil...

Maybe it's a firewall issue, on one hand.

On the other maybe there's an issue with the GSC program running an MS
Access database. Maybe there's a conflict with something else you
have.
