Josef - I tried this today, looks promising but very buggy - creates
strange urls and stops spidering after only a few thousand (of 100K)
pages. You said it was for large sites but it seems a little slow, only
one spider deployed at a time? Will have to stick with GsiteCrawler,
hope you get it working :)

I would have to agree, also it needs to be able to bring in the robot.txt file for the areas not to spider....

I started this project and I'd like to pass it onto someone interested
in programming in vb.net who would help out. I am busy with other
projects and I've got this one to work for my sites just fine. So I
stopped right there. For this to be perfect for public it will need
programmers who would like to take over this project.

Why dont you post it on GotDotNet?  You can then find many developers who can work on it.  I also have many projects on my plate, but would be willing to take a look at the code here and there and make suggestions.
