Dear GSICS Colleague,
Please find attached the latest draft agenda for the Annual GRWG & GDWG meeting, which will take place in Williamsburg, VA on 4-8 March 2013.
The agenda is still under revision on the GSICS Wiki: https://gsics.nesdis.noaa.gov/wiki/Development/20130304
But I have attached a PDF snapshot of it.
You will see we start with a 1-day Mini Conference, followed by 1 day of reports – both as plenary. Then we split into the 2 working groups for Wednesday and Thursday, before rejoining for a plenary wrap-up session on Friday morning.
The Mini Conference is really for topics that are of interest to GSICS, but not yet directly linked to the development of specific GSICS Products. In the Mini Conference, each presentation has a 20 min slot. This includes a maximum of a 16 min presentation, to allow at least 4 min questions.
This will allow us to focus the rest of the meeting on the development and distribution of GSICS products.
For the other plenary and GRWG sessions, the agenda is mostly divided into 20 min slots. If you would like to give a presentation in your slot, please ensure it takes no more than 10 min, to allow plenty of time for discussion. And don’t worry if you think you don’t have enough to fill the slot – the more time we have for discussions the more progress we can make towards developing GSICS products. There are also sections at the end of each session to allow for interaction between GRWG-GDWG.
Please name your files according to the running order in the agenda using the following filename convention:
n.m_Author_Topic.ppt/pdf
e.g. 3d_Hewison_GRWG_Report.PPT
And, if possible, please upload your presentations to the Wiki page before the meeting.
Best regards,
Tim
Tim,
I didn’t see how to upload my presentation. I’m attaching it and will bring it on a memory stick.
Thanks,
Dennis
