The 2013 EUMETSAT Meteorological Satellite Conference & the 19th Satellite Meteorology, Oceanography, and Climatology Conference of the American Meteorological Society will take place from 16 - 20 September 2013 in Vienna, Austria.
This year we have a dedicated session on Calibration and characterisation, which we would like to encourage you to submit an abstract to – either for oral or poster presentation.
We would welcome abstracts related to the following:
· Calibration and Characterisation of instruments on past, current and future meteorological satellites,
· including imagers, sounders and active instruments,
· in the microwave, infrared and reflected solar bands.
· Inter-calibration between different satellites for inter-operability & creation of Fundamental Climate Data Records.
· Development, analysis and validation of onboard and vicarious calibration systems.
· based on pre-flight testing as well as analysis of in flight performance.
You can pre-register and submit your abstracts at http://www.conferences.eumetsat.int.
The deadline for submission of abstracts is 18 February 2013.

You may be pleased to hear that the deadline for abstracts for the 2013 EUMETSAT Meteorological Satellite Conference & AMS Satellite Conference has been extended to 22 February 2013.
So if you have not already done so, it is not too late to submit one.
To register so you need to :
1. Visit our conference website: http://www.conferences.eumetsat.int/
2. Then create an account (if you don’t already have one) and use this to log in.
3. This will take you to another web page, where you can pre-register.
4. Then it will give you the option to submit (or update) an abstract.
