Speech notifications fail with Voiceover and Premium voices
|
| |
I'm experiencing two issues.
First, Growl notifications utilizing speech would not fire while I had a premium voice selected with Voiceover. Premium voices are those which are downloaded as extra TTS options.
I discovered that I was running an older version of Growl (1.2) but I had purchased 1.3 from the app store, which evidently installed over 1.2.... more »

Growl 1.3.3 not working with Hazel
|
| |
I know a lot of people have had problems with Growl 1.3, but it's worked great for me, until now. I recently became a Hazel user, and added a rule for Growl to notify me when Hazel moves things around, like adding mp3s to iTunes. Has anyone else had this problem? Or have any ideas for a fix? Thanks in advance.... more »

Growl High CPU Usage and Crash
|
| |
I've seen this just a couple of times, and I'm not sure what really causes it. I hear my fans start spinning up because the processor is working hard and heating up. When I check Activity Monitor, Growl is using over 100% (two processors). When I click on the Growl icon in the Menubar, growl crashes and it appears to send a crash report.... more »

re-selecting parts of a Torrent file later on?
|
| |
This is probably a question for the Transmission forums, and not Growl?
Growl is a notification framework that is used by Transmission; it has nothing to do with the actual function of the app.

Growlnotify not working on other computers
|
| |
I have Growl ver 1.2.2 installed on a few computers. I can use growlnotify (ver 1.2.2) from another computer to open alerts on my computer, but using the same machine I cannot send alerts to others. I have them all set to listen on the network, and from what I can tell they are all set up the same way. Any suggestions?... more »

Growl no longer gives notifications or registers apps.
|
| |
I was using growl and it was fine until a few weeks ago. I think I updated to 10.7.4 around the same time. Since then Growl gives no notifications. I uninstalled it completely using Clean my mac and reinstalled. Now applications won't register w/ Growl. Dropbox & Alfred are the two main ones that I need the information for. I did search some but couldn't find... more »
