Growl crashing on laptop

Works fine in Tiger on G5, but on new laptop, Growl is always crashing.

I'm on Growl 1.0

Don't have a crash report as it's on laptop, but try to get it next
time. The crashes are pretty consistent and relentless. No problems
though with the G5/Tiger. I would pay double for your forum to be
with Yahoo Groups.

Why are you on Growl 1.0? Growl 1.1.2 is on the website, and Growl 1.1.3 is in beta.

Please update to the Growl 1.1.3 beta, including HardwareGrowler
1.1.3. You must update HardwareGrowler *specifically*—updating Growl
alone won't do it.

hardware growler works? that my only guess.

Peter, the update works great on my G5/Tiger.

But after trying to install it twice to the new Intel laptop, the icon
in the dock just jumps up and down, but nothing happens and I have to
force quit.

Sort of. It's like a town crier for your Mac. When an application
wants to announce that something has happened, it hands it to Growl,
and Growl announces it to you.

Please take a sample of HardwareGrowler:

1. Launch it (so that it starts bouncing up and down).
2. Launch Activity Monitor, which is in the Utilities folder in the
Applications folder.
3. Find HardwareGrowler in the list, and click on it. (It may be in
red. If not, it will be soon enough.)
4. Click Sample.
5. Save that file and upload it to the Files area on the Growl

Couldn't get Growl to Lauch, then did a reboot and it's steady in
dock, not bouncing, maybe that was it. Needed a reboot. But lets wait
and see if crashes, if so then I'll send the Helper app report.
